Profhilo Treatment in Northumberland
Nurse-led bio-remodelling skin booster at our Morpeth clinic
At Oracle Clinics in Morpeth, Northumberland, Profhilo is a popular injectable skin treatment for skin laxity and overall skin quality. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, which add volume, Profhilo is a bio-remodelling treatment that stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. Its high concentration of hyaluronic acid acts as a powerful skin booster, delivering deep hydration while supporting the skin's own structure.
The hyaluronic acid is injected at specific points and releases slowly over time, leading to skin remodelling and lasting hydration. The result is firmer, better-hydrated skin that looks healthier and more refreshed.

Your practitioner
Nurse Ness Abbey
Clinical Lead and Director, Aesthetics
Every Profhilo treatment at our Morpeth clinic is carried out by Ness Abbey or a senior member of her nurse-led Northumberland team. As an Independent Nurse Prescriber, Ness (NMC 10E0349E), with 16 years of clinical experience and a dedicated aesthetics focus since 2019, oversees your care, assessing your suitability, planning your treatment and ensuring natural, healthy-looking results for your skin.
What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is a bio-remodelling injectable made with one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid available. Unlike a traditional dermal filler, it does not add volume. Instead, it works beneath the surface to stimulate your skin's own collagen and elastin.
Injected at set points across the treatment area, the hyaluronic acid releases slowly over time. This delivers deep hydration and supports the skin's structure, improving firmness, tone and texture for healthier, more refreshed-looking skin.

Benefits
Benefits of Profhilo
Profhilo offers a range of benefits for patients across Northumberland.
Firmer, more elastic skin
Stimulating collagen and elastin helps firm and support skin that has started to lose its bounce.
Deep, lasting hydration
A high concentration of hyaluronic acid hydrates the skin from within for a supple, healthy feel.
A radiant complexion
Better hydration leaves the skin looking fresher and brighter, with a natural, healthy glow.
Smoother texture and tone
Profhilo helps even out tone and refine texture for smoother, better-quality skin overall.
Concerns
What Profhilo can help with
Profhilo improves skin quality and firmness rather than adding volume.
Skin laxity
Early loss of firmness and bounce in the face, neck or hands.
Dull, tired skin
A lacklustre complexion that has lost its natural glow.
Dehydrated skin
Skin that feels dry, tight or looks a little crepey through lack of moisture.
Uneven texture and tone
Roughness or patchiness you would like to smooth and refine.
Why nurse-led Profhilo treatment matters
Profhilo is an injectable treatment, so who performs it matters. A nurse-led approach means your skin is assessed by an experienced clinician who understands facial anatomy, injection technique and how to plan a course for the best result.
As an Independent Nurse Prescriber, Ness Abbey oversees your suitability, your treatment plan and your aftercare, prioritising your safety and a natural-looking outcome at every step.
Treatment areas
Where Profhilo can be used
Profhilo can be used across several areas where skin quality and firmness matter.
Face
Restores firmness and glow across the cheeks and overall complexion.
Neck
Improves crepey, lax skin on the neck for a smoother, firmer look.
Hands
Hydrates and plumps the backs of the hands, a common area for early ageing.
Decolletage
Softens fine lines and improves skin quality across the chest.
The BAP technique
How Profhilo is injected: the BAP protocol
Profhilo is not injected like a dermal filler. It uses the Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP) technique, a mapped set of injection points chosen to sit away from the major blood vessels and nerves. From these points the stabilised hyaluronic acid flows and spreads beneath the skin, hydrating and stimulating collagen and elastin across a wider area rather than adding volume in one spot.
Five points on each side
On the face Ness places the product at five fixed points on each side, ten in total, positioned for safety and for even spread through the deeper layers of the skin.
Two treatments, four weeks apart
The standard course is two sessions spaced around four weeks apart. The first session stimulates, the second consolidates the result.
Results build gradually
Skin firmness, hydration and glow develop over the weeks that follow as collagen and elastin respond. There is no instant plumping effect to chase.
Maintenance every few months
Most people return for a single maintenance treatment around every six months to keep the bio-remodelling effect topped up.
Preparation
Preparing for Profhilo
A few simple steps help you get the best from your treatment.
Skin assessment
We evaluate your skin type, laxity and overall skin health to confirm Profhilo is right for you.
Avoid harsh products
In the days before treatment, avoid skin peels or harsh skincare that could irritate the skin.
Stay hydrated
Be well hydrated in the run-up to your appointment to support a smooth result.
Settle active conditions
Any active skin infection or condition should be calmed before treatment goes ahead.
What to expect
Your Profhilo treatment, step by step
From consultation to a gradual, natural improvement.
In-depth consultation
Your nurse assesses your skin, discusses your goals and plans your Profhilo treatment.
Precise injection points
Profhilo is injected at a small number of set points across the area using a recognised technique.
Slow, steady release
The hyaluronic acid releases gradually, hydrating and remodelling the skin over time.
Gradual improvement
Firmness, texture and glow build over the following weeks, with a second session about a month later.
Aftercare and recovery
Profhilo has very little downtime, but a little care helps you get the best from it. Avoid touching or massaging the treated area for at least 24 hours, keep well hydrated, and use gentle skincare while any small bumps settle.
Avoid direct sun and sunbeds for at least a week, and contact the clinic if you notice any unusual or prolonged reaction. Over the following month you will see a gradual improvement in firmness, texture and glow, and a second session is usually recommended around a month after the first.
