What are Skin Boosters

Skin boosters is a general term of a thin filler that doesn’t volumise the features. Rather these treatments are used to improve the texture of the skin and act a bit like an injectable moisturiser. These treatments are perfect for overall “glow” and also tackling fine lines and wrinkles on the surface of the skin.

FAQs

How do skin boosters work?

Both of our skin boosting products are made up of hyaluronic acid. This is the substance that plays a key role in hydration within the skin. The hyaluronic acid molecule is too big to pass through the skin surface, so it’s greatest benefit is when it is injected under the skin. This can then provide the skin cells with increased hydration and nutrients, leaving a younger, plumper complexion with fine lines smoothed.

Is this a good option for me?

These treatments can be used in conjunction with both botox and fillers or as a standalone treatment. It is a great treatment for general overall glow, without changing the shape of your face or paralysing muscles.

Can I have this treatment whilst pregnant or breast feeding?

No, due to a lack of clinical evidence on the effects of this treatment on unborn babies or feeding infants, we don’t perform these treatments whilst you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

What are the side effects?

As with any injectable treatment. You may experience slight swelling, redness or bruising around the injection site but this usually settled within a few hours.

Will it be obvious I have had this treatment?

No. As the treatment doesn’t volumise or change the shape of the face in any way – this treatment is virtually undetectable, other than your improved skin!
